The mission of Operation Walk USA is to give a new lease on life to uninsured or poverty-stricken patients in the United States who have painful and debilitating joint diseases and no other treatment options.
Operation Walk is a private, not-for-profit, volunteer medical services organization that provides free surgical treatment for patients in developing countries. These patients otherwise have no access to life-improving care for arthritis or other debilitating bone and joint conditions.
Our physicians at the Hofmann Arthritis Institute participate in the Utah chapter of this amazing organization, as well as internationally. Each year, our physicians travel to El Salvador to perform over 50 joint replacement surgeries each year as a way to give back to the international community as well. As always, donations are encouraged. Due to the private donations of patients who are familiar with the life-changing operation of a total joint replacement we have been able to continue our missions. To find out how to donate time or money, visit our website at operationwalkutah.org.
We continue to screen patients for this free surgery. If you know of someone who may be a candidate please have them call 801-355-6468 to schedule an appointment to be seen in our walk-in clinic on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
